When you get actual evidence then you might have an argument, but at the moment this article is pointless.

I met a girl from India who didn’t know God and used to have a Christian neighbor who tried to tell them about Jesus and what He did for us. They didn’t really listen though. Then their neighbors had to move. 10 years later, the girl learned about Jesus in a Taxi and became a Christian and she came back to her parents and talked about how she got saved and then saved her family, except her father, who strictly didn’t believe it. But then, one night, he had a dream with Jesus in it. I don’t really remember all that happened in the dream but he KNEW that Jesus was real and that He loved him and got saved. A few days later, they met their old Christian neighbor from 10 years ago and told them how they got saved. He said that he had been praying EVERYDAY for 10 years that God would show up in their lives. God can do ANYTHING including changing your son. Never give up. The most important thing of all is never underestimate the power of God.

I had a father figure, never a motherly one. He was though and manly but I the age of 7 I fell attracted to my friend (boy) and did not know what it meant. I wanted to kill myself because, yes, close minded Christians persecuted me. I have begged God to change me, I have read article after article trying to find out what is going on with me. I love God, I don’t want to go to hell.

I do not plan to engage in gay sexual activities because honestly NO that is not meant to be;

My opinion: Being gay is not a sin because YES I was born that way, having sex with a man I believe is a sin, I agree.

I hope God forgives me if I have said something that was offensive to any one in any way. I just need answers that I cannot find with peers or family since I am still what society calls “closeted”.

Interesting your use of the word “narrow” as if that was a bad thing to associate with Christianity and a follower of Jesus Christ.

May I remind you of Matthew 7:13-14 (Jesus own words) -

13.”Enter through the narrow gate ; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

14.”For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

So yes, I guess I am narrow minded, at least in scenarios where something does not align itself with what God’s Word says.

Reason I ask is because I recently came across a young man of about 20 years of age who felt he was gay, even came out on YouTube announcing he was a gay Christian. Come to find out that he had yet to engage in any gay sexual relations – he only felt that he’d prefer men over women.

Furthermore I discovered that his biological father was completely absent throughout his entire life and that he was was raised by his grandparents, his grandfather being mostly distant and hands off.

He therefore lacked any type of a father figure while growing up which is why he now has such a craving for male affection. At some point, he will have to choose whether to act upon what he is currently feeling. Hopefully he can form healthy male relationships without the need for sexual relations with them.

That being said, children can have inclinations towards homosexuality for many reasons. Many homosexuals I have met for example were sexually molested as children. They could have also lacked any type of a father figure in their life. One must also remember that there is a real enemy out there (Satan) who works day and night to keep people away from God and in bondage to some type of sin.

So Jeff, to succumb to the idea that your son maybe should have been born a daughter instead of a son is just wrong thinking. There can be so many other reasons for your son’s homosexuality besides the “I was born gay” argument which I think I have demonstrated pretty well in the original post above is faulty thinking.

Dear Korinthian, if you care about the homosexual people you would tell them the truth if you knew it. As a forgiven sinner myself and a Christian, the true Word of God tells us the homosexuals will not get into heaven, just like you and I will not get into heaven unless we repent and accept Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins.

1 Corinthian 6:9 “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders.”

The good news is that God loves all people. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, Or his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life – John 3:16.”

In the court of law if a person is found guilty s/he needs to pay to redeem themselves. In God’s eyes we all are guilty of sin, because we all have sinned (Rom 3:10). On the Judgment Day we all deserve to pay for our sins by going to Hell. However God loved us and HE provided to pay for our sins and settle the penalty that His holiness demands for sin – death of Jesus Christ on the cross. We need to believe and accept it, repent and turn from our sins by living as God’s children, not perfect, but forgiven. To deny this is to deny that there is a God and that the Bible is His inspired word.

As a forgiven sinner, I am obligated to tell other sinners where to find forgiveness and redemption of sins, including the homosexuals.
