If you were to research it more deeply, the forefathers (Jefferson, Washington, etc.) were Enlightenment thinkers, and were not Christian but Diest. Diests believe that there is a God but they do not know how it interacts with the world or they believe that it does not interact at all with its creation. Therefore, this is a country founded on Deism</description>
