California Christian School Wins Appeal Over Expelling Lesbians

In a 3-0 ruling, the Fourth District Court of Appeals upheld California Lutheran High School's right, as a private, religious organization, to use religious criteria in making admission and discipline decisions.

Obama Signs Executive Order Ending Ban on Abortion Funding

One such order that was put through occurred on Friday when he ended the Bush administration's ban on giving federal money to international groups that perform abortions or provide information on the option. Liberal groups welcomed the decision, while abortion rights foes criticized the president.
