As a Christian, Would You Attend a Gay Wedding?

A post with a very interesting question caught my attention today. John Shore asked the question, “What would Jesus do if invited to a gay wedding?” While he didn’t directly answer as to whether Jesus would attend, he did ponder as to whether he himself would attend or not.

Gay Man Suing Bible Publishers Over ‘Homosexual’ Verses

The Christian Post reports that a homosexual man has filed a $70 million lawsuit against Bible publishers Zondervan and Thomas Nelson, alleging that references to homosexuality being a sin in versions of the Bible they publish violate his constitutional rights and has caused him emotional distress. Are you kidding me? Talk about a frivolous suit!

Characteristics of the ‘Less Than Ideal’ Husband

An article by Maureen Dowd published at The New York Times provides some characteristics or you could call them “flaws” to look out for if you ladies want the ideal husband. Heed this advice and you may dodge mates who would maul your happiness. Ignore it and you may find yourself in a relationship nightmare.

Does God Still Speak To His People & Are You Listening?

Does God Still Speak To His People & Are You Listening?

I heard an excellent message this past weekend by my Pastor entitled “Hearing God’s Voice” in which he explored the various ways Gods speaks. Does God still speak in this day in age? You bet he does! In fact, God has never stopped speaking not only to those who love and serve him but to those who don’t as well.

Stop Using Bad Christians As an Excuse to Avoid God

I am so weary of people that are “Christians” using bad Christians or bad Christian experiences as an excuse to explain why they themselves no longer pursue God. I have seen it happen over and over again throughout my Christian walk. A person becomes a Christian, starts reading the word, praying, even finding a local church where they can attend, grow and serve, and then they come across what we will call a “bad” Christian or experience that causes them to stumble.

The 5 Senses In Worship

Psalm 24:9 states “The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.” I love this verse! The voice of the LORD is so incredibly powerful. With it He created the heavens and the earth and all things in them; with His voice, He calmed the stormy sea and nature obeyed.

Now thanks to a new web site called YouveBeenLeftBehind.com, Christians who believe they might one day be physically swept up to heaven in the Rapture will be able to send e-mails to loved ones left behind on Earth nearly one week after the apocalyptic event takes place.

Cute: Two Year Old Girl Sings Lord’s Prayer

My wife came across this cute video of a Korean toddler saying (singing) the Lord’s Prayer. You know, “Our Father, which art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name…” I remember reciting this every church service I attended as a kid, but at only 2 years and 8 months, being able to not only remember the Lord’s Prayer but sing it as Zoei Toh does is pretty amazing.

18 Old Testament Prophecies Jesus Fulfilled

18 Old Testament Prophecies Jesus Fulfilled

I’m not sure exactly how many prophecies Jesus fulfilled during His life, death and resurrection but most theologians place it above 400. The Book of Matthew does the best job correlating Old Testament prophecy with Jesus’ fulfillment of them. Let’s examine what some of those are.

How the Old Testament Isaac Is a Type of Jesus

How the Old Testament Isaac Is a Type of Jesus

Isaac of the Old Testament and Jesus Himself hold many similar characteristics. If you recall, Isaac was the promised son of Abraham that God had given him and his wife Sarah in their old age. From Isaac would be born Jacob and from Jacob, twelve sons who would become the the twelve tribes of the nation of Israel.
