From The Christian Post, California’s Supreme Court ruled 4-3 Thursday morning to join Massachusetts as the second state to recognize same-sex “marriage.” In the court’s opinion, Chief Justice Ron George ruled that the ban on same-sex “marriage” was “discriminatory” and that “domestic partnerships are not a good enough substitute for marriage.”
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in a new study has revealed record drops in the rates of teenage pregnancies and abortion. According to the results, both abortion and teenage pregnancies have been steadily dropping since 1990.
Churches around the world are joining an emerging international movement to restore the “scandal” of Christmas by observing the holiday more authentically. The movement called “The Advent Conspiracy” calls on churches and their members to give simpler but more thoughtful gifts that foster relationships. Christians are then encouraged to use the money they would have spent on expensive gifts to help the needy around the world.
The Christian Post reports that Apple is partnering with Christian universities to distribute sermons, Christian lectures, chapel services, presentations and Christian media, concerts, performances, and sports highlights for free through its popular music and media software, iTunes.
