Prayer is how we communicate with God by talking and listening to Him. Knowing how-to pray is important not only because God commands us to pray, but additionally prayer provides numerous benefits including providing power over evil, strengthening our faith, and fighting spiritual warfare.
With prayer, there is no right or wrong time to pray. We can and should pray when we encounter multiple emotions including thankfulness, fearfulness, temptation, illness, or need forgiveness.
When teaching children how-to pray, it is best to show them an active prayer life in your own life and encourage them to pray for other people as well as themselves.
