When God and Government Collide

David Wallace — Mon, 24 Jul 2023 17:28:41 +0000

I heard an excellent message this weekend from Pastor Ray Davis entitled, "When God and Government Collide." If you are at all concerned with our current government's continuous attack on our religious values and freedoms and how we as followers of Christ should respond, you will want to hear this important message.

What If I Don’t Feel That I Am Saved

David Wallace — Thu, 18 Nov 2021 20:02:18 +0000

Here again, it is not a question of feeling but of fact. Of course, if you know upon the sure testimony of God's word that you are saved, you will feel glad and grateful; but you are not saved on account of your feeling, nor by feeling, nor as the result of feeling.

What If I Don’t Think I’m a Sinner?

David Wallace — Wed, 10 Nov 2021 14:49:00 +0000

Well, you are a sinner, whether you feel it or not, and you are all called to deal, not with a question of feeling, but of fact. Many a man has been fatally ill, without feeling his danger, but his lack of feeling did not arrest for one moment the progress of disease and death.

The Power of Forgiveness

David Wallace — Mon, 21 Sep 2020 16:54:34 +0000

In Mark 11:25, Jesus says, "Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions.” Not only are we commanded by Jesus Himself to forgive others, it is to our benefit to do so. The opposite is un-forgiveness which is at the root of all bitterness.

Do You Seriously Think God Can’t Use You? Think Again!

David Wallace — Sat, 04 Feb 2012 16:37:37 +0000

I came across the following image on Facebook. I'm not sure who originally created it but I just love it. The image entitled "Do You Seriously Think God Can't Use You?" is a simple reminder that God can use anybody... including you and me. Never let the enemy tell you otherwise!

Easy Wins or Baby and Bathwater

Daniel Carrington — Fri, 29 Apr 2011 08:00:49 +0000

Recently I had one of those strange moments. I had seen something that made me think that it was not something that I would do. What it was isn't important. What is important is that the reason I felt that I wouldn't do the same was because it wasn't a very "Christian" thing to do.

Guilt and Shame

Daniel Carrington — Tue, 29 Mar 2011 15:00:00 +0000

I thought this would be a good time to go back into the recesses of history and bring up a topic that was taught in my church quite a number of years ago, now. That is, as the title of this post suggests, guilt and shame.

Misuse of Truth

Daniel Carrington — Wed, 09 Mar 2011 15:00:33 +0000

Many people who fall away from the Church have a number of reasons for doing so. While a number of the more outspoken of them tend to claim that they left the Church due to intellectual reasons. However, it seems that when one hears their "un-testimony" it becomes clear that they are more likely emotional reasons.
